Ryan Moore previews Hong Kong's biggest day of racing
I'm not riding on Champions Day in Hong Kong, but the three Group 1s look like great races, and it will be fascinating to see two of the world's best horses, Ka Ying Rising and Romantic Warrior, in action. Sha Tin | Race 5: Group 1 Chairman's Sprint Prize Barring him falling over, nothing will beat Ka Ying Rising. He has impressed on every one of his starts and broke another track record last time. He looks a better horse every time I see him.
Ryan Moore discusses his 5 rides on Saudi Cup day
I’ve had a fairly quiet winter, so it’s nice to get out to Riyadh for five rides at the Saudi Cup meeting. There’s a lot of prize money at stake and some good international competition. Fingers crossed we can get amongst it. Race 5: Riyadh Dirt Sprint (G2) Don Amitie was disappointing on his last start and will have to run a career best to challenge in this. If you put a line through that then he could run respectably, but it still looks a fairly big ask.
Ryan Moore's World Pool blog for Day 2 and 3 at York
York | Race 1: G2 Lowther Stakes AMERICA QUEEN was impressive on debut at Haydock, though I’m not sure about the strength of the race yet. Haydock to York is a suitable next step as they are quite similar tracks, so she’s had the right prep for this. It’s hard to know whether she’s good enough to mix it in this company, but she’s exciting and Richard Hughes has a good team of two-year-olds to pick from.

Jockey Ryan Moore looks at day 2 of Royal Ascot
Race 1: Queen Mary Stakes (G2)True Love has finished second on both of her starts so far. She’s by No Nay Never and is a big, strong filly, who I think will be suited by a strong pace over five furlongs. Zelaina looks set to go off a very short-price favourite. She’s only won a Nottingham maiden but is expected to improve a lot, so she must be respected. Ralph Beckett’s Society Kiss won well at Ascot, while I know Michael Bell thinks a fair bit of his filly, Spicy Marg.
Jockey Ryan Moore looks at opening day of Royal Ascot
Royal Ascot is all setup to be a great spectacle this year. The weather forecast is good, the fields look high-quality and competitive, and there are challengers from across the world. It’s a truly global racing event and it will no doubt be a very busy week with the World Pool. Race 1: Queen Anne Stakes (G1) This is a very strong race.

2018 British Open: Rory McIlroy responds to Butch Harmon's 'robot' criticism
CARNOUSTIE, Scotland – Rory McIlroy said during his pre-championship news conference that he wanted to play more "carefree" – citing Jon Rahm’s approach now and the way McIlroy played in his younger days. McIlroy got off to a good start Thursday at Carnoustie, shooting 2-under 69, good for a share of eighth place. But while McIlroy admits to wanting to be a little less structured on the course, he took offense to comments made by swing coach Butch Harmon during a Sky Sports telecast.
2018 British Open: How the Cut Line is Determined at The Open
Scores on Day 1 of the 147th Open Championship ranged from 5-under 66 to 11-over 82. The field of 156 players will be cut nearly in half for weekend play at Carnoustie. Here’s how the cut line works in the season’s third major championship: • After 36 holes, the low 70 players and ties will advance to compete in the final two rounds. Anyone finishing worse than that will get the boot. Only those making the cut earn official money from the $10.5 million purse. • There is no 10-shot rule.

2018 British Open: Tiger Tracker Postscript - Taped-up Tiger Woods explodes Twitter
CARNOUSTIE, Scotland – Here are a few things I think I think after Tiger Woods shot an even-par 71 Thursday to move into a tie for 32nd place after the first round of The Open at Carnoustie: • Even par in the first round of any major is good. It doesn’t seem as good when you consider he was 2 under after nine holes, but it’s good. • Even par is even better considering he showed up at Carnoustie with kinesiology tape visible on the back of his neck. Oh dear God, Twitter exploded.
Koepka goes 41-31 in topsy-turvy opening round

The 2018 British Open is all set to tee off at Carnoustie Golf Links in Angus, Scotland early Thursday morning. This prestigious event marks golf’s third major of the season, a tournament that could go down as perhaps the most exciting of the year if Carnoustie lives up to it's chaotic, "Car-Nasty" reputation. Because of the unpredictability of these links, a large number of competitors have a legitimate chance to outlast the field and claim the Claret Jug.
