Even though they do the cooking in a food truck parked outside, they have a narrow dining room with yellow metal tables and air conditioning. Take a seat and soon someone will bring you a smashburger on a potato bun. It's simple in a good way, although we suggest adding some bacon jam for a little salty/sweet balance.

photo credit: Tropical Smokehouse We think the original Tropical Smokehouse in West Palm is one of the very best barbecue spots in all of South Florida, and we're happy that there's one in Delray now, even if it is a bit smaller (both in terms of the menu and the space). Luckily, you can still find excellent versions of the essentials here: brisket, spare ribs, and Tropical's incredible double smashburger that fits neatly in the palm of your hand.

Not only does Ukiah have a prime location on the river's edge, but its outdoor patio has some of the best people-watching in town (as long as you can handle sound bleed from the neighboring bar's atrocious playlist).
