With numerous therapeutic innovations currently entering the MCL treatment landscape, guidance for indication, sequencing and application of cellular therapies is of key importance.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) represents the most common non-Hodgkin lymphoma, in which ~60–85% of patients achieve a complete response (CR) with standard frontline chemoimmunotherapy approaches [1,2,3]. Despite these promising response rates, ~40% of patients can develop relapsed or refractory disease, and significant research efforts have been devoted to improving the durability and response with frontline therapies through the incorporation of novel agents [1, 2].

Dear Editor, Despite recent advances in the treatment of systemic aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas (B-NHL), central nervous system (CNS) involvement remains a therapeutic challenge and is associated with dismal outcomes [1]. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy achieves high overall response rates (ORR) in patients with CNS involvement, but responses are often short-lived (1-year progression-free survival (PFS) of 16–48%) [2,3,4,5].
