I've been fascinated with storytelling, 'grown folks' business and the truth since I was a kid, so it only makes sense that I became a journalist who writes and produces best those moments.

Some pretty stellar career highlights including an Emmy, two AP Awards and experience you only get in and outside of a newsroom. But, that all pales in comparison to the events and people I've experienced as just another person no matter the capacity in which I was there.

Interned and currently work with CNN, reported in college, served in government, and in addition to building emissions-free stoves for indigenous families in Panama, sometimes I speak in Spanish and study Dutch.

From a childhood spent in Detroit to adulthood on 3 continents, 40 passport stamps and in 27 states -- I've been allowed to write about a lot. But, with 7.3 billion people, 196 countries and all of the problems in the world, GOOD NEWS! there's a lot more ground to cover.

My camera, reporter's notepad and ink pen have explored Central America, parts of Europe, Moscow as well as the opportunity to work in every region of the US. And, I'd like to think that we're just getting started--
