4 intriguing Chargers matchups to watch for in Week 1 vs. Raiders
It's finally time for some LA Chargers football as the 2024 season will kick off at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. Let's take a look at four of the most intriguing matchups to keep an eye on for this first game of the season. Khalil Mack vs. his former team If there's one thing Khalil Mack loves doing it's playing against the team that drafted him.
4 most underrated moves of the Chargers' 2024 offseason Original
The LA Chargers have been one of the busier teams in football this offseason in terms of organization-changing moves. There's been quite a few splashes the Bolts have made, but the under-the-radar ones are what Charger fans should be keeping a close eye on. Here are four underrated moves of the Chargers' 2024 offseason. 1.
4 starting pitchers (2 from a rival) the Red Sox should target this trade deadline
The MLB trade deadline is only a few short weeks away and the Boston Red Sox once again have sneakily found themselves in a position to be buyers. Although the rotation has surprised many to this point, there might be some upgrades that have to be made in the event of a potential playoff push. Though it seems ownership might not be in lock-step with the front office or the roster on the field, it would be bad business to neglect a team that's making a legitimate playoff push.
Multimodal imaging assessment for feasibility of endovascular reconstruction in cases of inferior vena cava atresia
1 INTRODUCTION The inferior vena cava (IVC) develops embryologically from the fusion of primordial veins: the intrahepatic IVC from a right vitelline vein, the suprarenal IVC from the right subcardinal vein, the renal IVC from the subcardinal-supracardinal anastomosis, and the infrarenal IVC from the right supracardinal vein.
3 potential trap games for the LA Chargers this season
It's that glorious time of year again in the NFL, as the full 272-game schedule for 2024 has been released. So now is the perfect opportunity to take a look at some potential trap games for the LA Chargers this season. Everybody can see that the Chiefs will be a massive test at SoFi and Arrowhead. Matchups with perennial playoff teams like the Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, and Buccaneers also fail to fly under the radar.
3 potential trap games for the LA Chargers this season
The Falcons have been mercilessly criticized for last month's draft, but make no mistake about it—they are a playoff-hopeful team with a very talented roster and coaching staff. The addition of Kirk Cousins alone puts them in a prime position to win the NFC South. Captain Kirk has a score to settle with the Chargers for that Week 3 contest this past season, and he and Justin Herbert battled it out in an offensive showcase.
3 potential trap games for the LA Chargers this season
This last one might get a chuckle at the onset, but it draws so many eerie comparisons to the fateful 2021 season that it's a matchup that cannot be overlooked. That gave the Texans their fourth and final win of that season and set the Chargers up to eventually face a do-or-die game in Las Vegas against the rival Raiders. Beating a bad Texans team that year stood between the Bolts and a trip to the playoffs in Justin Herbert's sophomore season.
Nationals vs Red Sox pitching matchups: Is Brayan Bello set for weekend return?
The Boston Red Sox return home to face off against the 18-18 Washington Nationals in what intends to be a rather pivotal three-game series. The Sox, after all, are coming off a 1-4 road trip and two series losses to the likes of the Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves. Now is the time for them to get back on track at Fenway Park, where they went 4-2 during their last homestand. "Good" teams have been Boston's Achilles heel.
4 logical conclusions we can draw from the Chargers trading Keenan Allen
There's so much to digest about what the LA Chargers have been doing the past couple weeks, but no other move shook the fandom more than the trading of beloved Charger, Keenan Allen, to the Chicago Bears for a fourth-round pick. Many of us are still scratching our heads at "why" this move was made, but the good news is now we can see the direction Joe Hortiz, Jim Harbaugh, and the Chargers want to go in to kickstart the new regime.
4 Chargers who could significantly benefit from Jim Harbaugh's hiring
There hasn't been this much positivity about LA Chargers football in quite some time, but here we finally are. Jim Harbaugh is the new head coach, he's bringing some of his staff from the University of Michigan, and things are looking up with this Chargers franchise heading into 2024. With such a drastic change at the head coaching position, and a positive one at that, there is sure to be a long list of players who will undoubtedly benefit from Harbaugh's presence.
5 sleeper candidates who could be the next Chargers head coach
The hunt for the next LA Chargers head coach is soon to get underway, and there are sure to be many different candidates that fans fancy. We know the top three targets in most Chargers fans' eyes are Jim Harbaugh, Ben Johnson, and Bill Belichick. You can put me down for Harbaugh and Johnson as my 1A and 1B; I think they'd both be slam dunks. The dream scenario is Harbaugh at head coach, at OC, and then Robert Saleh at DC, but I'm sure the football gods will not allow such things to happen.
4 reasons the Lions could be a big problem for the Chargers in Week 10
It's the toughest test of the year for the LA Chargers as they host the 6-2 Detroit Lions at SoFi Stadium in Week 10. It's been smooth sailing the past two weeks for the Bolts, but the Lions now present a unique threat to the AFC West playoff hopefuls. As much as it pains me to admit it, here are four reasons the Lions could be a major problem for the Chargers in Week 10 1.
5 reasons the Chargers will beat the Jets on Monday Night Football
It's a pivotal week for the LA Chargers as they head to MetLife to take on the 4-3 New York Jets in Week 9. It's set to be one of the biggest tests for the Chargers' offense to date as the Jets possess one of the league's top defenses, maybe even the best. And as we saw with the Cowboys and Chiefs games, the Chargers have struggled on the offensive side of the ball when matched up with quality defensive units. That Jets defense is daunting.
5 Chargers-Vikings matchup that will determine the Week 3 outcome
The LA Chargers are set for what should be the biggest game in recent franchise history as they head to Minneapolis to take on the 0-2 Vikings. The loser of this game will drop to 0-3 and their playoff odds will drop even more dramatically than they already were at 0-2.....and they weren't even that great at 0-2 in the first place. History does not treat 0-2 teams well, as CBS's Jeff Wagner outlines: "Since the NFL expansion in 1979, only six teams have made the playoffs after starting 0-3.
4 potential Chargers storylines that should have fans excited for 2023
The offseason is a time of countless rankings and lists of the best teams, quarterbacks, receiving cores, defenses etc. as I’m sure we all know by now. Does anybody really pay attention to any of it? Because I do. And it’s apparent that way too many people are writing off the Chargers thanks to how they ended their 2022 campaign. It’s annoying, but at the same time, the victory lap is going to be that much sweeter after proving so many wrong as far as I’m concerned.
Chargers 2023 schedule: Cowboys and the 5 toughest matchups for the Bolts
2) Chargers at Jets The numbers in this Jets matchup actually don't look half bad for us, but the fact that the Jets have now bumbled their way into Aaron Rodgers creates a few problems for the Bolts, especially. They've gotten better at the position that killed them last year and they already had a very strong roster as of the 2022 season. The Chargers have beaten the Jets 4-straight times and 6 out of the last 8 as well. We're also 4-1 at MetLife in the team's last 5 trips. Justin is 1-0vs.
Chargers 2023 schedule: Cowboys and the 5 toughest matchups for the Bolts
4) Chargers at Broncos Yes, I know Russell Wilson has fallen off. Yes, the Broncos have a lot of catching up to do in 2023 if they want to make themselves playoff hopefuls for the first time since their Super Bowl year in 2015. But it always seems to me that the Chargers lose to these guys when they play them in Denver. They've won the last 4-straight games at Mile High and they're also 9-1 in the last 10 times the Chargers have gone up there.
Chargers 2023 schedule: Cowboys and the 5 toughest matchups for the Bolts
1) Chargers vs Chiefs Finally, we all knew this was coming. I actually think the Chargers match up much better against the Chiefs at Arrowhead because Patrick Mahomes has never lost a road divisional game. Justin has 2 wins over the Chiefs in his career, both at Arrowhead. He could've had a few more like his pro debut and even last season's Week 2 square-off. I may get hate for this, but Justin also seems to usually outplay Mahomes when the two match up.
Chargers 2023 schedule: Cowboys and the 5 toughest matchups for the Bolts
3) Chargers at Patriots Herbert has had a very rough time adjusting to Belichick's defenses. I get it, these are not the same Patriots of the past. Bill is not what he used to be. If Justin Fields can tear up that defense, so can Justin. But at the same time, the numbers here look daunting to say the least. Herbie is 0-2 vs. the Patriots with 2 touchdowns to 4 interceptions and a passer rating of 52.8. It gets worse..... The Pats have won 7-straight against the Chargers.
Chargers 2023 schedule: Cowboys and the 5 toughest matchups for the Bolts
Before we see the big reveal of the LA Chargers' 2023 regular season schedule, I thought it'd be fun to run through what appears to be the five toughest matchups for the Bolts as we sit here in late April. We know the matchups. We just don't know the order in which the games will come at us in 2023. Be sure to stay tuned on Bolt Beat for game-by-game outcome predictions once the schedule does officially drop.
Raiders: Which 2023 NFL Draft QB is best to come in and replace Derek Carr?
The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to replace Derek Carr this offseason, and here we look at which of the four pending rookie QBs could be the one to do it. It’s quarterback-hunting season for the Las Vegas Raiders after they cut bait with the nine-year veteran, Derek Carr. They’ll now look to either the draft to find a rookie quarterback to start over with, or they’ll go to within the league and try to land a veteran via free agency or trade.
Analyzing 5 potential starting quarterbacks for the NY Jets in 2023
The NY Jets took massive strides in 2022, despite finishing with a record of 7-10 following a 6-3 start. For as good of a season as the Jets had, the missing ingredient was undoubtedly a stable quarterback, which makes this offseason so crucial considering the very real possibility that all this team needed was a quarterback if they were going to make the postseason. Let's go through five of the most attractive options to be the starting quarterback ahead of the 2023 season.
Raiders: What to expect from the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16
The Las Vegas Raiders are technically still alive in the AFC Playoff race, and here, we look at what to expect from their opponent in Week 16 of the 2022 NFL season. For a team that has struggled as much as it has this season, the Las Vegas Raiders now sit at 6-8 with their season still up for grabs and a trip to Pittsburgh against a very beatable Steelers team next up on the docket.
What the NY Jets should expect from the Detroit Lions in Week 15
The NY Jets find themselves in an intriguing Week 15 matchup against the Detroit Lions as they look to improve their playoff chances with a victory over one of the hottest teams in football. The Lions have now won five of their last six and are coming off a 34-23 beating they put on the (then) 10-2 Minnesota Vikings. This is a very winnable game for the Jets considering their defense, but also a very dangerous one at the same time considering both offenses in this matchup. Mike White is out.

Use your ← → (arrows) to browse The Las Vegas Raiders are 2-4 entering Week 8, and here, we look at the biggest surprises of the 2022 season thus far. The Las Vegas Raiders are off to a disappointing 2-4 start this season in Josh Mcdaniels’ first year as head coach. After finishing 2021 the way they did, there were naturally higher expectations coming into 2022 with a revamped roster and new coaching staff.
NFL 2022 season: The 5 most disappointing teams through 5 weeks
We are now a quarter of the way through the 2022 NFL season and it’s time to take a quick look at five of the most disappointing teams thus far in no particular order. These will stem from high expectations heading into the season coupled with lackluster results through five games and all stats/numbers will be true as of Monday, October 10th before the Raiders-Chiefs game.
3 ways the NY Jets can upset the Cleveland Browns in Week 2
The NY Jets travel to Cleveland this week to take on the 1-0 Browns after dropping a tough home opener to the Baltimore Ravens in a 24-9 effort. Although Week 1 ultimately ended in a disappointing loss for the Jets, there are still many positives the team can carry over into this second week to hopefully fuel a potential road upset over a very beatable Browns team.
4 Las Vegas Raiders who really need to step up in 2022
The Las Vegas Raiders should be one of the best teams in the AFC this season, but these four players need to step up for them to be just that. The Las Vegas Raiders are revamped and ready to rock in 2022 as they’ll be hitting the ground running with a new head coach and a bevy of fresh impact players added to the team this offseason.
5 relievers the Boston Red Sox need to target this trade season
Use your ← → (arrows) to browse The Boston Red Sox limped their way to the end of the first half after a 28-9 run that stretched from mid-May to late-June. They currently sit outside of the playoff picture, but they’ve been marred by injuries to the starting rotation and they just finished playing 11 games against the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays.

Use your ← → (arrows) to browse The 2022 MLB season is in full swing, and numerous Cy Young candidates continue to emerge from relative obscurity. The off-season is in full swing for the Las Vegas Raiders as the 2022-23 campaign looms. It’s no secret to this point that the Raiders have one of the five hardest schedules in football this time around, squaring off against 2021 playoff teams in eight of their 17 games, not including near-playoff teams in the Chargers, Colts, and Saints.
MLB: Breaking down 4 of the game’s top pitching prospects
Early on in the 2022 MLB regular season, several teams have trotted out their top pitching prospects for their Major League debuts. In this article, we’re going to go through four of MLB’s top pitching prospects and break down what makes them so special … or perhaps not so special.
