When a new sale listing went up in May, and there was no season-opening announcement in sight, the big question for many was whether Fat Boy in Brunswick, Maine, would return for 2026. Turns out, the iconic drive-in will be back after all for its 71st season. The restaurant returns on Friday, June 26, 2026, and there will be some new additions when it opens.

Bark & Bevy in Enfield, New Hampshire, has closed for good. The combined restaurant, bar, and indoor dog park shared on its Facebook page the unfortunate news, citing financial struggles as part of the reason for its end. The business had created a unique offering, the first of its kind in the Granite State, that people and their dogs could both enjoy. Sadly, those customers have to find somewhere new going forward. According to a Facebook post, Bark & Bevy closed as of May 31, 2026.

That was certainly the case for one particular Maine server at That Place in Ogunquit, who got a surprise tip from a customer that likely made them do a double-take.
