2019 - Mark of Excellence, Sports Writing
Together with reporter Brian Wollitz, our feature article for the Loyola Maroon "Twin brothers help Loyola golf team to best season yet" earned the Mark of Excellence Award in the Society of Professional Journalists' Region 12 competition for Best Sports Writing. The competition was limited to "Small Schools" with 1 - 9,999 students.

Together with digital producer Sam Winstrom, our use of Twitter for coverage of the New Orleans Saints earned third place in the Press Club of New Orleans' 2019 competition. The category featured nearly 20 submissions of work from fellow local news outlets.
