2019 - Mark of Excellence, Sports Writing

Together with reporter Brian Wollitz, our feature article for the Loyola Maroon "Twin brothers help Loyola golf team to best season yet" earned the Mark of Excellence Award in the Society of Professional Journalists' Region 12 competition for Best Sports Writing. The competition was limited to "Small Schools" with 1 - 9,999 students.

Together with reporter Brian Wollitz, our feature article for the Maroon "Botanical workshop turns International Women’s Day green" won the Mark of Excellence Award for Online Feature Reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists Region 12, in its "Small Schools" competition sized 1 - 9,999 students.
