When Commanders season tickets go on sale for the team’s new stadium in D.C., the cost will be very different from what D.C. sports fans have ever experienced. Season ticket holders will have to buy a personal seat license for each seat. It’s a one-time initiation fee on top of the annual cost of each ticket. Public records reveal the District has valued the seat licenses at $975 million, as Notus was first to report.

After a three-year court battle, an attorney successfully challenged a $100 ticket, after he found out that traffic cameras have an error rate — a discovery that could result in a class action lawsuit against D.C. Matt Ricciardi got a ticket for driving 61 mph in a 50 mph zone. D.C. usually allows drivers to go 10 mph over the limit before issuing a ticket. A lawyer who knows computer programming, Ricciardi investigated and discovered the cameras have a margin of error of 1 mph.

As president of the Woodlawn Cemetery Perpetual Care Association, she was excited to talk about what makes this resting place so special. “It is major D.C. history, first.
