OHIO COUNTY, W. Va. (WTRF) – With the fourth of July coming up this weekend, it’s important to know how to have fun while also ensuring your pets stay safe. The Ohio County Animal Shelter said some pets, with or without anxiety, can be distressed by the big booms of fireworks. If your furry friend’s anxiety is on the severe side, the ASPCA recommends talking to your veterinarian about anti-anxiety medications before the holiday.
