The real-world association between digital markers of circadian disruption and mental health risks - npj Digital Medicine
Abstract While circadian disruption is recognized as a potential driver of depression, its real-world impact is poorly understood. A critical step to addressing this is the noninvasive collection of physiological time-series data outside laboratory settings in large populations. Digital tools offer promise in this endeavor.

Effectiveness of gamified team competition as mHealth intervention for medical interns: a cluster micro-randomized trial - npj Digital Medicine

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has had a profound impact on the academic research enterprise. Over the span of just a few weeks in March 2020, most large U.S. research institutions closed the majority of their laboratories, studios, and offices, suspended travel and fieldwork, and paused the majority of human research, resulting in the halt of more than 80% of all on-site research activity (1).

It’s Time to Get Serious About Resident Wellness
It’s not enough to offer meditation and teach yoga. Institutions need systemic changes to protect the well-being of trainees, argues a researcher who has studied thousands of residents. As I started my residency in June 2005 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, I found myself surrounded by some of the most impressive people I had ever met. My peers were brimming with ideas, idealism, and dreams of changing the world through medicine. Three months later, the picture of our class was very different.
