What was your first job as a journalist?
My first job as a journalist was covering a small town for a weekly newspaper. I attended city council meetings and wrote about new business.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
When I was very young, I used a typewriter, but it was mostly just for fun.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To me, it means doing the work to bring communities together. I am a big believer in the power of local media.

I was the editor of my high school newspaper and of the high school yearbook.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I am most likely to be playing with my children.
