LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — Loudon County Schools has been hard at work preparing for growth in the student population for the past few years. Starting with construction at Philadelphia Elementary School, the district will add 11 new classrooms and a new auditorium. The expansion will support a music program that Loudon County Director of Schools Mike Garren said he is proud of. The work is part of a $110 million project funded by taxpayers to help fight overcrowding in the district’s schools.
