Where Did At The Pier Arcade Go At Orland Square Mall?

For those who haven’t found out yet about At The Pier Arcade in Orland Square Mall‘s temporary closure, a mall representative informed me on April 5, 2025 that the space is supposed to start under a new operator. However it still needs to be approved by Orland Park ordinances. There is a distinct possibility though that it may not happen because Orland Park ordinances are no longer keen on arcades. So things are up in the air.

What Happened At The Downtown Orland Park Development Groundbreaking

I’ve heard it said that rain is a sign of good luck, and a little drizzle graced us all at this morning’s #groundbreaking of the Downtown Orland Park development. Another #ChicagoSouthland village enhancing its parks and downtowns is a wonderful thing to see. Coined the Main Street Triangle, the 27-acre block at the intersection of 143rd Street and La Grange Road will have its park and farmers market expanded. With summer concerts, winter ice skating, and a pedestrian walkway to come as well.
