Celebrated entertainers Bryce Edwards and Mike Davis first played their show HOT COMBINATION in September of 2025, and, lucky for those of us who missed that first performance, the gentlemen in spats (only spiritually) returned to the scene of their triumph on June 7th to show off that which makes them, as solo artists, unique and, as a team, a force. Misters Davis and Edwards are two special musicians, and that’s without the hook created by their mutual interest in history-centric music.

MAC Award winner and repeated nominee Goldie Dver is back at work and proving, once more, why she keeps getting invited back to the awards table. The last time Dver was on the New York City solo show scene, she was presenting her one woman tribute to Anthony Newley, and this time around, Goldie has produced a one woman tribute to Dorothy Fields… or has she?

It’s summertime in New York City, and what that means is that there are even more amazing and exciting adventures to be had around town than there are on a regular basis. The key is simply in finding the adventures. On May 31st, I caught wind of a jazz combo putting on a show in the back of a bookstore in Chelsea. Who knew?
