What was your first job as a journalist?
I was an intern for Card Player Media during the 2009 World Series of Poker.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Thankfully not. I couldn't handle the stress of typing without the backspace key.
How is social media changing news?
It allows smaller operations to reach a wider audience than they otherwise would.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Ray Romano. I'm sure his coverage of the NY Mets was impeccable.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To inform your readers about your beat. Tell the important stories. And be truthful.

I thought it was a meaningful profession to choose.

My high school did not have a newspaper.

When I wrote for Card Player Media, someone pitched me on covering a cheating scandal in their $100 home game.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At the local ice rink working on my slap shot.
