First let me get this part out of the way: AI has made some amazing recent advances. The most obvious one is the ability of large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Claude to engage in conversations about a wide range of topics, and to offer accurate summaries of human knowledge. They also provide a very fast, very smart way to search the internet. The latest AI systems are also remarkably good at writing code.
