I currently serve as the Managing Director at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies. I studied Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of Toronto (Hons. BA), Epistemology, Ethics and Mind at the University of Edinburgh (MSc), and Science and Technology Studies at York University (MA). Currently, I am doing my Ph.D. in the ethics and design of AI.

Hierarchy Worth Having

A people that has relearned truthful speech has done something necessary. It has not yet learned how to live together. Truth can expose a lie. It cannot by itself educate children, assign offices, settle disputes, or sustain institutions. A society cannot remain forever at the stage of denunciation. Once reality is named, the next question arrives. Who is to judge, who is to teach, who is to decide, and under what discipline? That question is the question of hierarchy.
