It's distributing information at a much faster rate than before which can be good if all facts are verified. Quality should exceed quantity.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
To spend all your time constantly thinking about the news and having the skills to report it in all different mediums.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email is the best form of contact. A few sentences on the timeliness, relevance, and importance of the story is crucial.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Slack, Trello, Google Drive, Adobe Programs

Why did you become a journalist?
I've been inspired by incredibly talented journalists and their work. It's my dream to be like them and pursue the craft of storytelling.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was a staff reporter and photographer.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
This first-generation college student story I'm currently working on right now.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Care about the stories you write about and understand that your words have power to change corrupt policies and legislation.

My friend who is working on a story about first-generation college students and their experiences at UT.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A vague idea with no sources or potential scope and size of the story makes it difficult to approve a pitch.

On my mobile phone.

I enjoy reading The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

That it's difficult to cover and understand
