Batman has starred in DC Comics since the 27th issue of the Detective Comics series in 1939. Batman, the alias of Bruce Wayne, is a superhero — although sometimes controversially considered a vigilante — with a dark childhood that forged him into the iconic face of justice that he is today. The Dark Knight is known to be serious and brooding and is often a bit of a lone wolf.
