Multidisciplinary team (MDT) working is essential to optimise and integrate services for people who are frail. MDTs require collaboration. Many health and social care professionals have not received formal training in collaborative working. This study investigated MDT training designed to help participants deliver integrated care for frail individuals during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Methods Study design The complexity of the evaluation reflects the complexity of the organisational, clinical and research context in which the evaluation will be conducted. Multiple organisations, including NHS Trusts, are responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of services, some of which overlap between the different programme components, requiring an adaptable but comprehensive evaluation drawing on multiple research frameworks.
