Lynne Farabaugh had a schedule of visiting her 93-year-old mother three times per week at her skilled nursing facility in Mt. Lebanon. On Tuesdays, she’d push her mother’s wheelchair from her residence at the Baptist Homes to a common room for live entertainment. She filled the other two days with trips to the courtyard’s garden, where she’d retell laugh-out-loud stories about family and childhood, resting on the parts of her mother’s memory untouched by progressing dementia.
