Enhancing Cardiac Hemodynamic and Pulsatility in Heart Failure via Deep Reinforcement Learning: An In-Silico and In-Vitro Validation Study of Percutaneous Ventricular Assist Devices
Heart Failure (HF), affecting over 64 million patients globally, is characterized by impaired myocardial function, ventricular remodeling, and neuroendocrine activation, leading to reduced cardiac output, hypoperfusion, and fluid retention, with a 5-year mortality exceeding 50% [[1], [2], [3]]. While pharmacological therapies (e.g., ARNIs, β-blockers) slow progression in early stages, they offer limited efficacy for end-stage patients [4,5].
TaWUS‐like‐5D affects grain weight and filling by inhibiting the expression of sucrose and trehalose metabolism‐related genes in wheat grain endosperm
Introduction Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is a globally important crop which is critical to ensuring food security in the world. Wheat production is expected to face serious challenges due to a combination of climate change and a projected doubling of the world population by 2050 (Godfray et al., 2010). A Material Perspective of Wood, Smoke, and BBQ
open archive Previous Next Main Text The “art of cooking” requires a lifetime of dedication. Andy Husbands has pursued that path since he was a freshman in high school, when he first started working at a bakery in Needham, Massachusetts. Cooking is all he’s ever wanted to do professionally, and that still holds true today. The “science of cooking” is more esoteric.
Anterior insular volume decrease is associated with dysfunction of the reward system in patients with chronic pain
Chronification of pain is associated with both anatomical and functional alterations of the brain. Alteration in regional grey matter volume might potentially be associated with modified activity of specific brain networks. In this cross‐sectional, observational study, we sought to identify brain regions with grey matter volume changes in patients with chronic pain and to reveal its significance by analysing alteration in functional connectivity from those regions.

The influence of combination use of CYP450 inducers on the pharmacokinetics of voriconazole: a systematic review
What is known and objectives Voriconazole is a triazole antifungal agent and is extensively metabolized via cytochrome P450 (CYP450); therefore, special precautions need to be taken when co-administered with a known CYP450 inducer, which may lead to treatment failure. The influence of some CYP450 inducers on the pharmacokinetics of voriconazole has been described in previous studies, but a systematic review was lacking.
Lifetime UV exposure and Lentigo Maligna Melanoma
Although ultraviolet light is considered a key factor in the etiology of malignant melanoma (MM), the relationship between sunlight and MM is complex. Intermittent exposure and sunburns are far more predictive of melanoma than chronic exposure, and melanoma can arise in non-sun exposed sites. Furthermore, retrospective studies have shown that outdoor workers exposed to sunlight chronically are not at higher risk of melanoma compared with indoor workers living at the same latitude.
Fibroids, infertility and pregnancy wastage
Uterine fibroids are often found in women of reproductive age. Different types of fibroids may affect reproductive outcome to a different extent, with submucous, intramural and subserosal fibroids being (in decreasing order of importance) a cause of infertility and pregnancy wastage. Fibroids may also produce a number of complications during pregnancy. Women who are scheduled for assisted conception should be advised to have submucous and possibly intramural fibroids removed prior to IVF.
