Tannock Blair joined WRIC 8News in February 2022 as a Digital Producer.

He graduated from Saint Louis University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in English.

Hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand, Tannock moved to St. Louis in 2015 to study and compete as a Division 1 track athlete. He previously worked for River Styx Magazine and was News Editor for the University News.

Tannock enjoys drinking wine and eating cheeseburgers, just not while he’s at work.

Virginia joins coalition opposing Trump administration’s ACA contraceptive coverage rollbacks

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia has joined a coalition of 21 state attorneys general in filing an amicus brief challenging the Trump administration’s 2017 and 2018 regulations on the Affordable Care Act’s no‑cost contraceptive coverage for workers with employer health plans. The attorneys general claimed that the 2017 and 2018 regulations expand the ability for employers to opt out of the ACA’s no-cost coverage for contraceptive care and services that would otherwise be guaranteed for workers.
