Man and woman dead after shooting in NE Austin nightclub parking lot

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — Two people are dead after a shooting early Sunday in the parking lot of a Northeast Austin nightclub, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired just before 4 a.m. at Bare Cabaret, 9705 Reservoir Court, said Kristen Dark, public information officer for the sheriff's office. An altercation in the parking lot escalated, and multiple shots were fired, she said.

One dead, one injured in shooting at Northeast Austin bar

AUSTIN, Texas — One man is dead and another is in stable condition after a shooting late Saturday outside a bar in Northeast Austin. Officers responded to the parking lot of Michelobos, at 900 E. Braker Lane, at approximately 11:48 p.m. Saturday, according to Austin Police Officer Austin Zarling. Officers arrived within minutes and found two male victims with apparent trauma to their bodies, Zarling said.

AUSTIN, Texas — Iranian-American demonstrators gathered at the Texas Capitol on Saturday as part of a global week of action calling for a free Iran. Organizers said the demonstration was one of many being held around the world this week. Sholeh Zendehdel, one of the demonstrators, said the global week of action was called by Iran's exiled crown prince, Reza Pahlavi, who has lived outside the country since the 1979 revolution.
