An 11-year-old boy from Juniata County is recovering after losing his right hand in an alligator attack while fishing with his father near Orlando, Florida, last month. Brodie and his father were fishing when the boy went to return a fish to the water, and an alligator suddenly emerged, clamping down on his arm.Brodie's father jumped on the animal to pry its jaws open, but by the time the boy reached the hospital, doctors had to amputate his right hand.

Over 100 people experienced heat-related emergencies at Berks County event

More than 100 people experienced heat-related emergencies this afternoon as crowds gathered to watch the massive locomotive known as "Big Boy" in Muhlenberg Township, Berks County, EMS confirmed. Police said some people were treated on-site, while others were taken to a hospital for further treatment. Anthony Tucci, CEO of Western Berks Ambulance, said EMS crews treated more than 100 people, with around 45 of them transported to hospitals. Others were treated at the scene.
