Man found dead in woods, Kalamazoo police suspect homicide

KALAMAZOO, MI -- A man was found dead in a wooded area in Kalamazoo on Sunday, June 21, and police are investigating it as a homicide. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to the 1400 block of Parkway Drive at 5:40 p.m. on Sunday. Officers found a 44-year-old man deceased with apparent injuries. The victim’s name is being withheld until family is notified. Parkway Drive is just south of where East Michigan Avenue, King Highway and the Kalamazoo River intersect.
