A Facebook post announcing the opening of Stage Stop OCC Bar & Smokehouse in the former Trail’s End Taproom space, 2925 W. Colorado Ave., inspired a visit on opening night, May 29. The new Old Colorado City eatery is owned by married couple Mark Childers and Eve Trabandt Childers, whose original Stage Stop Cantina, Rentals & Stables is located at 6620 Old Stage Road and is still a lively spot to dine.

Before the soft opening on May 25, we stopped by for a sneak peek.
