Access is easy, but wear your walking shoes. The Metrorail’s blue line stops at the Arlington station, though that’s a bit loose. From the station to the Arlington National Cemetery Visitors Center is “only” about a tenth of a mile, but you have to maneuver the Metrorail station first, get over an overpass, and go down a long road. It feels much longer than it is. If someone with you is not very mobile, you’ll want to take a taxi.

In the last 30 years, Düsseldorf has transformed itself into a city worth every minute, yet it remains under the radar for many. It’s a large city disguised as a small town — walkable, friendly, historic and charming, with a great riverfront and greenbelts begging for picnics, not to mention food and beer specialties. Locals call it the “10-minute city” because lore says you can get to most places in 10 minutes. What city of 650,000 can say that?

Cold Hands Could Mean More Than Just a Chill

When my fingers started turning painfully white in cold climates, a doctor told me it was an "allergy to the cold." It took a few years after that to find out I had something called Raynaud's phenomenon, and it's a whole lot more than just getting chilled. Although people often get their first attacks before age 30, as I did, it can worsen with age and have surprising triggers.
