Nine share price hits all-time low

Nine’s share price today hit the lowest point since floating on the ASX in 2013, losing another 2.9% to land on 83.5 cents. The company has lost 13.5% over the last week, following the news that Bruce Gordon and family have moved above a 25% voting share, giving them an outsized say over the future of the business. Nine price hits six-month low as investors give Bruce Gordon a thumbs-down

Nine’s shares continued their slide into a third trading day as the market continued to vote against a business dominated by the Gordon family. Nine lost another 3.4% on Tuesday with the company’s market capitalisation dropping to $1.37bn, the lowest point since March. On Friday, the Gordons revealed that they had bought more stock in Nine, taking their voting stake to above 25%, giving them the ability to block major moves by the business if they wish.

Dr Mumbo was relieved to wake up this morning to discover that Kyle Sandilands was back on air after a couple of days on the sick list. But probably not half as relieved as Dr Mumbo’s least favourite social justice campaigners MFW, who’ve been suffering relevance deprivation syndrome since the end of the Kyle and Jackie O Show. Happily for the MFW business model, it looks like they’ll soon have some new marketers to harass.
