Staying Active as You Age
I’ve reached a point in my life where there isn’t much left. Having a decent reading on my blood pressure machine before I take the medicine my doctor prescribes to control my blood pressure is a small victory. When my heart rhythm is normal it’s like a winning lottery scratch off card. I have atrial fibrillation. Oddly enough, it was diagnosed on almost the same day I retired. At one point in my life I was terrified of hospitals, now they are a little vacation.
Finding the Right Word
I’m retired. It’s my new job. As far as jobs go it’s pretty easy, the attendance policy is flexible, and the goals are manageable, and easily achieved, and the commute is a walk in the park. Or a walk to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. Gridlock happens around the refrigerator, occasionally, but it breaks up quickly, and sometimes it can lead to a conversation about breakfast, or lunch. We have a rule, we never discuss dinner until after lunch. Even retirement needs a little structure.

The NPC Lodi from Destiny 2's Edge of Fate expansion, having a bad day. Earlier today, Bungie broadcast its final showcase ahead of the July 15 release of Destiny 2's Edge of Fate expansion. Largely it was the expected run though of new features like World Tiers and The Portal, the latter being a revamped homescreen that groups together the most relevant activities in the game and enables players to tweak their difficulty (and therefore loot).
