SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Dak Prescott, a Haughton native and the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, returned to Louisiana today, not just for football, but to give back to his community. Prescott visited the Ochsner LSU Health – Peggy Prescott Community Health Center, a facility named in honor of his late mother, Peggy Prescott. The center is close to Prescott’s heart and benefits from his generous donation, which supports expanded healthcare screenings and awareness programs for local residents.

Independence Bowl hosts youth football camp

SHREVEPORT, La. {KTAL/KMSS} — The 14th Annual Radiance Technologies youth football camp was held at Independence Stadium this morning. Young kids ages five through eighth graders were able to participate in the camp. The kids had the opportunity to learn from collegiate coaches and players in the region; including LA Tech, ULM, Sam Houston State and more. Independence Bowl officials look forward to hosting this event and find it beneficial for the community.
