There might not be a more quintessential sound of summer than the crack of a wooden baseball bat. "Have fun, swing away," Aaron Bagshaw said while swinging a wood bat made in his Hudson shop, Walter Bat Company. Bagshaw started the business within W.H. Bagshaw Company, a precision parts manufacturer, where he serves as president and owner. The name Walter comes from Walter H. Bagshaw, who opened the pin manufacturing company in 1870. Each bat bears Walter's signature.
