How we got here: Months after Operation Midnight Hammer, the US strikes Iran again
How we got here: Months after Operation Midnight Hammer, the US strikes Iran again Last summer, the United States struck several nuclear weapons facilities in Iran. In the wake of the strikes, carried out by the highly advanced American B-2 bombers, President Donald Trump declared that the Iranian regime's nuclear capabilities had been "obliterated." However, questions arose in the wake of the strikes about what was actually destroyed.

Are we investing enough in early talent?
The data center talent shortage is not a new subject by any means. Yet the skills gap continues to present a very real and existential threat to the sector, which has become, for all of us, a fourth and vital utility. Data published in 2021 by the Uptime Institute estimated that staffing requirements would grow from around 2.0 million full-time equivalents in 2019 to nearly 2.3 million in 2025 – a year that is fast approaching.
The data center industry doesn’t have a skills shortage
The first thing we need to do is recognize that the problem is a labor shortage. Too much of the rhetoric around this issue focuses on the word ‘skills’ – whether that’s panels or webinars about the ‘skills shortage’ or data center companies complaining that the noticeable lack of skilled talent is harming their ability to scale and execute projects. Experienced talent doesn’t come cheap.
Changing of the guard
The data center industry has a well-documented labor shortage. While not the only sector to face such an issue, digital infrastructure is one of the few where demand is essentially guaranteed to grow – and indeed has grown every year since its conception.

'Miraculous': No casualties reported in devastating Colorado wildfires
"We were fortunate that the winds dissipated last night," Pelle said in a press conference on Friday. "It's still too dangerous to return. We saw active fires in many places this morning. We saw downed power lines; we saw a lot of risks that we're still trying to mitigate." Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle called the lack of casualties or fatalities "pretty miraculous" following the Colorado wildfires that quickly destroyed hundreds of homes on Thursday.
