Two Donegal-born builders are preparing to put some of their UK firms into administration

Ardmore Construction Group, the building firm founded by Donegal-born brothers Cormac and Patrick Byrne, is preparing to enter administration, a move that has sent shock waves through the construction sector. The company notified the High Court in London on Thursday of its intention to take the step, citing significant potential liabilities linked to alleged historic building defects. Those liabilities have undermined its ability to secure new contracts, prompting the move towards administration.
