Preparing for a football broadcast is a different monster than preparing for any other sport. It’s not as fast paced as basketball, so you need to be able to tell more stories and provide more context between the plays. It’s not as slow paced as baseball, so those stories better get to the point quickly before the next play is snapped. There are by far more players to prepare for than any other sport. The games carry more weight due to the small number of contests.
