Castle adds new high-speed quad Castle Mountain is installing their first high-speed quad lift called the Stagecoach Express, which they obtained from Banff Sunshine. This new lift will be installed on Mt. Haig, above the Huckleberry chair, on the resort's existing cat skiing area and will open up 25% more lift-assisted skiable terrain. Translation: more WOOOO!! Bragg Creek Critters: Bear Basics

Last month I shared some of the differences between White-Tail and Mule Deer. Since Spring has now officially started and our bruin friends will be emerging from their dens very soon, this month I thought I would highlight characteristics between Black Bears and Grizzly Bears. Alberta is home to two species of bear and both can be found in the West Bragg Creek area. Seeing a bear in the wild can be an exhilarating, if not a fearful, experience.

A photograph captured by one of my trail cameras won the grand prize in this annual competition. My photo depicted a mother coyote and her three pups exploring a remote wooded area in the Ghost Public Land Use Zone.
