Tommy Evans of Charles Town claimed his second consecutive West Virginia Junior Amateur golf championship on Thursday with a 1-under final round of 71 at Canaan Valley Resort in Davis, West Virginia. Evans finished at 5-under-par for the tournament and totaled nine birdies and an eagle in his three rounds. Evans entered the final round tied at 4-under with Alex Randolph of Bridgeport but created separation on Thursday.

A day removed from his 12th birthday, he showed it’s fitting that Augusta, West Virginia, is just five minutes from his hometown – earning a 127-yard hole-in-one on the par-3 No. 16 at Canaan Valley in Davis.
