What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Various Adobe products for layout, editing, photo and video editing. Microsoft Office, Videolicious, iPhone and DSLR camera, GoPro and more.
What's your favorite social network?
Facebook and Instagram for the most part.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love telling stories and educating people on important topics. I've always loved to write.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I wrote for a magazine in high school as an editor, but didn't develop a passion for journalism until college.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Strive to be a jack-of-all-trades journalist so you can be versatile in this ever-changing industry.
What's your favorite drink?
Sweet tea.

Rolling Stone, Buzzfeed, various video game websites, NPR
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I'm mainly a digital journalist and many old-school journalists scoff at that role. We're journalists, too!
