Urbanization in India causes a huge strain on transport systems. Increasing density of vehicles, traffic jams, and wasteful toll and parking operations encourage the smart management of mobility. Among the enabling technologies for changing this is the RFID tag. The RFID tag has become an important piece in developing intelligent transport systems (ITS). By 2025, RFID tags will become the key player for traffic flow management, toll automation, parking lot management, and overall urban mobility.
