Read Full Bio →I've wanted to be a writer since reading Carolyn Keene's Nancy Drew series in the third grade. That dream took 30 years and a dramatic experience to become a reality. When our first son, Ben, was born with a rare genetic mutation, writing became a way for me to find support, share experiences and work through the emotions of raising a child with special needs.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Find a group of writers to discuss experiences and ideas. I've learned so much from meeting up IRL and virtually.
