2 hurt in head-on crash in Manteca

Roads in Manteca have reopened after a head-on crash in the area of West Yosemite Avenue and Swanson Road on Saturday, police said. Officers said a 44-year-old driver was found unconscious in the backseat of the vehicle. They said a 60-year-old passenger was thrown from the car during the crash. Authorities said both men were taken to the hospital, but they have not disclosed the severity of their injuries.

Five arrested after attempted burglary in Elk Grove

Five people are in the Sacramento County Jail after an attempted burglary in Elk Grove. Elk Grove Police said one of the suspects pretended to be a food delivery driver on April 15 while another tried to enter a side door. Authorities said the suspects ran away after realizing someone was home. Officers tracked the suspects' car using Flock cameras and located it on Hood-Franklin Road in south Sacramento County.

TONIGHT WE HAVE A STATEMENT FROM THE ATTORNEY OF A SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY DAYCARE OWNER WHO WAS ARRESTED FOR THE DEATH OF A CHILD IN HER CARE. LOS ANGELES WAS RELEASED WITH BAIL LAST THIS WEEK. POLICE SAY SHE WAS INTOXICATED WHEN FIVE MONTH OLD BABY CHRISTIAN STOPPED BREATHING AT CHERISHED YEARS DAYCARE. THIS IS VIDEO OF US IN COURT BACK IN NOVEMBER. SHE IS FACING. SHE IS FACING CHARGES OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT.
