How the Knicks' season, title defense got chaotic -- fast Original
THE VISUAL WAS telling, if not stark. The Philadelphia 76ers moved the ball all over their NBA Cup-adorned court while the New York Knicks scrambled to catch up, reminiscent of how the reigning champions ran things in the second round of last season's playoffs when they won 15 of their final 16 games, including 13 straight. This time, the Knicks weren't taking over Xfinity Mobile Arena. They didn't get 3-pointers from Josh Hart or Miles McBride or Jalen Brunson after good ball movement.

The Pistons need Jalen Duren, and Duren needs the Pistons. Now? The pressure is on
After agreeing to a five-year, $200 million deal, how will Duren and Detroit move forward after a monthslong saga?
Jalen Duren, Pistons need each other -- for better or worse
Deciding whether to bring back Jalen Duren was only the second biggest question for the Detroit Pistons this offseason, as they size up a vastly different Eastern Conference than the one that saw them run away with 60 wins and the No. 1 seed last season. The monthslong saga with Duren was over money, of course, but also power and respect. A lack of personal touch and a very direct -- if not harsh -- approach to the negotiations was one of the reasons it lasted so long.
