Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in crash on South End Bridge in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)- A motorcyclist is in the hospital after suffering serious injuries in a serious crash Thursday evening on the South End Bridge in Springfield. The Massachusetts State Police states that troopers were called to the crash shortly before 7 p.m. on the westbound side of the South End Bridge, which carries Route 57 westbound and Route 5 southbound. The motorcycle operator was taken to a hospital by EMS with serious injuries.
