Cytokine context shapes antigen-presenting and matrix-producing states of cancer-associated fibroblasts
Abstract Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) exhibit remarkable functional heterogeneity, with conserved subtypes observed across diverse malignancies. However, their shared roles in shaping the tumor microenvironment (TME) and their dynamic plasticity remain incompletely understood.
Plasma metabolomic signatures enable the diagnosis and prognosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
|
Abstract Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a progressive heterogeneous lung disease driving global illness and death, yet reliable biomarkers for its early diagnosis, molecular subtyping and prognosis are lacking. Here, we conduct targeted plasma metabolomic profiling in two independent, deeply phenotyped cohorts comprising 1344 participants across the full spectrum of COPD severity, with 3-year longitudinal follow-up for 651 subjects.

Dietary intake and BCAA metabolism regulate pulmonary fibrosis through KDM4A-mediated epigenetic remodeling in male mice
Abstract Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive and fatal disorder characterized by abnormal activation of alveolar fibroblasts. However, the metabolic reprogramming of alveolar fibroblasts during lung injury remains unclear. Here we show that uptake of branched-chain amino acids is increased, whereas their catabolism is significantly impaired in fibrotic lung fibroblasts and mouse lung tissues.
Cross-grid laser reconstruction method based on stripe splitting and coarse-to-fine matching
In conventional parallel multi-line laser three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction systems, the matching of the laser stripe center point (LSCP) relies on the laser-plane equation. Consequently, the matching accuracy is susceptible to deformations of the laser plane and degrades as the number of laser stripes increases. Moreover, the unidirectional distribution of the laser stripe (LaS) in the image for parallel multi-line setups increases the number of registration steps and prolongs scanning.

Electric Vehicle Charging Demand Prediction Model Based on Spatiotemporal Attention Mechanism
1. Introduction Under the goal of achieving “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, electric vehicles (EVs) powered by renewable energy have emerged as critical enablers facilitating clean energy transitions in national power systems [1]. However, the uncoordinated integration of large-scale EVs results in high volatility and randomness in the load of the regional power grid [2], posing potential dangers to the grid [3]. Simultaneously, it introduces new challenges for electric load forecasting.

Methods and Applications of Noncompetitive Hapten Immunoassays
Methods and Applications of Noncompetitive Hapten Immunoassays Hapten immunoassays have found extensive application across various domains such as disease diagnostics, environmental monitoring, as well as the evaluation of food and pharmaceutical safety. These techniques traditionally rely on competitive assay formats and often face challenges with sensitivity and specificity.
"Cloning a Profibrotic Stem Cell Variant in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibros" by Shan Wang, Wei Rao et al.
Abstract Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive, irreversible, and rapidly fatal interstitial lung disease marked by the replacement of lung alveoli with dense fibrotic matrices. Although the mechanisms initiating IPF remain unclear, rare and common alleles of genes expressed in lung epithelia, combined with aging, contribute to the risk for this condition.

Hybrid T-Shaped Sensor Array Composed of Acoustic Vector Sensors and Scalar Sensors
Abstract : Through the more available acoustic information or the polarization information provided, vector sensor arrays outperform the scalar sensor arrays in accuracy of localization. However, the cost of a vector sensor array is higher than that of a scalar sensor array.

Integral absorbance measurement for a non-uniform flow field using wavelength modulation absorption spectroscopy
Abstract Combined with computed tomography (CT), the laser absorption spectroscopy technique is used to measure the two-dimensional distribution information of the flow field. The CT method needs an “integral parameter” as a known quantity. The integrated absorbance satisfies the criterion in the laser absorption spectral measurement. The direct absorption spectroscopy method directly measures the integrated absorbance.
Regenerative Metaplastic Clones in COPD Lung Drive Inflammation and Fibrosis
Highlights • COPD lung is dominated by three pathogenic stem cell variants • These variants are epigenetically committed to metaplastic lesions found in COPD • Variants drive key COPD features of inflammation, fibrosis, and airway obstruction • Similar variants in fetal and normal lung likely serve sentinel functions Summary Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a progressive condition of chronic bronchitis, small airway obstruction, and emphysema that represents a leading cause of...
Cryoablation-Activated Enhanced Nanodoxorubicin Release for the Therapy of Chemoresistant Mammary Cancer Stem-like Cells
Cryoablation-Activated Enhanced Nanodoxorubicin Release for the Therapy of Chemoresistant Mammary Cancer Stem-like Cells Chemoresistance is a common property of tumor-initiating cancer stem-like cells. Overcoming chemoresistance, particularly in cancer stem-like cells, can markedly enhance the efficacy of cancer therapy and prevent cancer recurrence and metastasis.
