16-h fasting optimizes cancer immunotherapy in mice and humans
Keywords diet intervention immune checkpoint therapy immunometabolism tumor metabolism tumor microenvironment Introduction The tumor microenvironment (TME) is a metabolically competitive niche where malignant cells outcompete immune cells for limited nutrients, including carbohydrates, amino acids, and lipids.1,2 During cancer progression, tumor cells exploit metabolic plasticity to upregulate diverse metabolic pathways, such as glycolysis, glutaminolysis, and lipid metabolism.3,4,5 However,...
Research on the Identification Method of Fluvial Sandstone Reservoirs Based on U-Net Networks
1. Introduction The exploration and development of oil and gas resources worldwide have mostly been guided by structural traps and have gradually developed towards the exploration of lithological oil and gas reservoirs. As a typical representative of lithological oil and gas reservoir types, the fluvial sandstone reservoir plays an important role in domestic oil and gas exploration and development dominated by terrestrial sedimentary environments.

Effects of vortex flows induced by four obstacles on swimming behaviors of juvenile Onychostoma sima
Abstract The presence of obstacles with various shapes can generate periodic turbulent flows that are potentially encountered by fish during migration, affecting fish swimming behaviors and strategies. This study investigated the swimming gaits and kinematics of Onychostoma sima in wake flows generated by cylinder, D_column, triangular and square columns. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model based on field measurement was employed to present the hydrodynamics of each obstacle.

Performance enhancement of galloping wind energy harvesting via bio-inspired V-shaped blade
ABSTRACT Galloping wind energy harvesting has promising applications in future distributed self-powered low-power devices. A novel V-shaped blade is figured out from Palm leaf galloping. The enhancement of galloping oscillation from the bio-inspired V-shaped blade is evaluated. The galloping wind energy harvester (WEH) with a V-shaped blade is developed by electro-mechanical modeling, finite element simulation, ground vibration tests, and wind tunnel tests.

A new fluorescent probe with high selectivity and sensitivity for Cys detection in bovine serum
A new fluorescent probe with high selectivity and sensitivity for Cys detection in bovine serum Cysteine (Cys) is one of the most basic mercaptan in human body. As an important endogenous small molecule mercaptan, Cys plays a vital role in various physiological processes and can participate in maintaining redox to ensure homeostasis. Abnormal Cys levels can lead to a variety of diseases. However, the detection of cysteine may be interfered by other small molecule biothiols.

1. Introduction Across the globe, nations have recognized the importance of diminishing carbon emissions as an essential metric. At its 75th session, the United Nations General Assembly heard China’s commitment to peak carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060 [1,2]. In the realm of carbon emissions, the electricity sector, predominantly powered by fossil fuels, contributes approximately 40% [3,4].

Study on Market-Based Trading Strategies for Biomass Power Generation Participation in Microgrid Systems
1. Introduction With the introduction of peak carbon and carbon neutral targets, the focus of electricity system reform has shifted from promoting the monopoly segment of the grid to the development and consumption of large-scale renewable energy sources [1]. In this context, it is essential to accelerate the popularization of wind power (WD), photovoltaic (PV), and other types of renewable energy, and to promote the construction of a novel power system [2].

Occurrence and Fate of Steroid Estrogens in a Chinese Typical Concentrated Dairy Farm and Slurry Irrigated Soil
Animal husbandry is the second largest source of steroid estrogen (SE) pollutants in the environment, and it is significant to investigate the occurrence and fate of SEs discharged from concentrated animal feeding operations. In this research, with a Chinese typical concentrated dairy farm as the object, the concentrations of SEs (E1, 17α-E2, 17β-E2, E3, and E1-S3) in slurry, lagoon water, and slurry-irrigated soil samples in summer, autumn, and winter were determined.
