Mathematics > Analysis of PDEs
We study the large-time behavior of the displacement for wave equations with non-integrable speeds and zero initial displacement. For initial velocities in $L^2\cap L^1$, we derive an upper bound estimate in the $L^2$ norm, with the rate determined by the propagation speed and its time integral.

SPC24 boosts tumor progression and correlates with immune infiltrates in pancreatic adenocarcinoma
Abstract Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is known for its highly aggressive nature, difficult diagnosis, and resistance to treatment, resulting in a long-term five-year survival rate of less than 10%. This study focuses on the expression and function of mitotic spindle core component SPC24 in PDAC, systematically revealing its important role in tumor progression and prognosis.

LINC-AC092535.5 regulates MICAL2 mRNA level to inhibit p53-mediated ferroptosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Abstract Ferroptosis is a form of iron-dependent programmed cell death (PCD) that, once activated, inhibits tumor progression. However, the specific mechanisms influencing ferroptosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) are limited and warrant further investigation. This study proposes that MICAL2 not only influences the nuclear translocation of p53 but also facilitates the ubiquitination of p53 by recruiting the E3 ubiquitination ligase MDM2, leading to its degradation.

Frontiers | Establishing the minimal clinically important difference of the 6-min walk test in lung transplant recipients undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation: a prospective analysis
Introduction Lung transplantation (LTx) serves as the definitive therapeutic intervention for patients with end-stage lung diseases. Advances in surgical techniques, perioperative management, and immunosuppressive protocols have significantly improved postoperative survival rates, with a median survival of 4–6 years (1). However, functional independent recovery remains a critical challenge in clinical practice. Following lung transplantation, there is a marked improvement in pulmonary function.

Parameter Optimization of a Conveying and Separating Device Based on a Five-Stage Screw and Vibrating Screen for Tiger Nut Harvesters
1. Introduction The tiger nut is a perennial herb of the Cyperaceae family. It is characterized by a developed root system, high adaptability, and strong stress resistance [1,2,3]. Large-scale planting of tiger nuts can not only modify sandy land, prevent wind, and fix sand, but also increase farmers’ economic income and improve people’s living standards [4]. In China, tiger nuts are mainly planted in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, and Henan.

A SARS-CoV-2 related signature that explores the tumor microenvironment and predicts immunotherapy response in esophageal squamous cell cancer
Background: The existing therapeutic approaches for combating tumors are insufficient in completely eradicating malignancy, as cancer facilitates tumor relapse and develops resistance to treatment interventions. The potential mechanistic connection between SARS-CoV-2 and ESCC has received limited attention. Therefore, our objective was to investigate the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2-related-genes (SCRGs) in esophageal squamous cancer (ESCC).

Subtly Regulating Layered Tin Chalcogenide Frameworks for Optimized Photo-Induced Carriers Separation
Subtly Regulating Layered Tin Chalcogenide Frameworks for Optimized Photo-Induced Carriers Separation Layered tin chalcogenide frameworks (LTCFs) have drawn great attention due to the stable structure and effective integration of porosity with semiconducting property. Though they have very suit band gap and rich structures Whereas, the significance of LTCFs in photoelectrochemical applications and “structure-property” study were highly undervalued.

Causal Relations between Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Stroke
Introduction Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) has become a common and chronic sleep-related disorder, which is characterized by repeated episodes of partial or complete upper airway collapse during sleep, resulting in intermittent hypoxemia, and sleep fragmentation.1 The prevalence of OSA ranged from 9% to 38% in the overall population, with 13%–33% in men and 6–19% in women.2 Patients with obesity as high as 60% to 94% of patients fulfill the diagnostic criteria for OSA,3 and its prevalence is...

Carbon starvation induces the expression of PprB-regulated genes in Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Environmental Microbiology Congcong Wang, Wenhui Chen, Aiguo Xia, Rongrong Zhang, Yajia Huang, Shuai Yang, Lei Ni, Fan Jin DOI: 10.1128/AEM.01705-19 ABSTRACT Pseudomonas aeruginosa can cause severe infections in humans. This bacteria often adopt a biofilm lifestyle that is hard to treat. In several previous studies, the PprA-PprB two-component system (TCS), which controls the expression of type IVb pili, BapA adhesin, and CupE fimbriae, was shown to be involved in biofilm formation (1, 2).
