Morial Convention Center, Sundial Media Group CEO Kirk McDonald and New Orleans Mayor Helena Morena beamed as television cameras, content creators and influencers recorded the moment. “For more than 30 years, Essence and the city of New Orleans have chosen one another very intentionally,” said McDonald, who oversees Sundial, events, forums and festivals, including Essence.
