Machine learning-assisted exploration of the interfacial valence electron fitting rule for MBene-based single-atom catalysts
Machine learning-assisted exploration of the interfacial valence electron fitting rule for MBene-based single-atom catalysts† Single-atom catalysts (SACs) have garnered significant interest due to their exceptional catalytic activity and selectivity when incorporated into two-dimensional materials. However, the d-band center theory for SACs still exhibits discrepancies in describing the adsorption energies of reaction intermediates.

The impact of environmental regulation on firms’ water use efficiency: based on the dual heterogeneity perspective of policy and space
ABSTRACT Government regulation of the heterogeneity of areas upstream and downstream of water quality monitoring stations in environmental regulation can lead to differential improvements in firms’ water use efficiency. Based on the National Tax Survey Database, this paper uses a triple difference model to study the impact of the Water Ecological Civilization City Pilot policy (WECCP) on firm water use efficiency and its spatial heterogeneity regulatory effects.

Temporal Biotic Homogenisation Patterns due to Urbanisation Are Taxon‐Dependent
1 Introduction Urbanisation is growing rapidly along with increasing habitat fragmentation and environmental changes that detrimentally affect biodiversity worldwide (Seto et al. 2012; Li et al. 2022; Simkin et al. 2022). Nevertheless, urban areas are often established in coastal or fertile regions (Imhoff et al. 2004) that support a high diversity of organisms (Ives et al. 2016; Planchuelo et al. 2019; Theodorou et al. 2020).

The impact of imidazolium with steric hindrance on the dissociation of phosphoric acid and the performance of high-temperature proton exchange membranes
The impact of imidazolium with steric hindrance on the dissociation of phosphoric acid and the performance of high-temperature proton exchange membranes† The low conductivity and poor stability of high-temperature proton exchange membranes (HT-PEMs) are still the main reasons limiting the practical application of high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells (HT-PEMFCs).
Perspectives from Multiple Stakeholders
Abstract This paper investigates the perspectives of stakeholder groups in the plastic and steel value chains on transitioning toward a circular economy (CE). Through semistructured interviews with 31 business stakeholders, we analyze business strategies, key factors, challenges and opportunities, as well as coordination and regulatory needs for a successful industry-wide CE transition.
Functional roles of folic acid in alleviating dexamethasone‐induced fatty liver syndrome in laying hens
INTRODUCTION In poultry, the liver functions as the central organ for lipid metabolism [1], whereas laying hens often suffer from fatty liver syndrome (FLS) due to excessive lipid accumulation [2] and natural insulin intolerance [3], especially during the egg-laying period. FLS is characterized by a significant decline in egg production and a shortened duration of the egg production peak [4]. Moreover, FLS is the main cause of noncommunicable death in caged chickens [5, 6].

One-pot preparation of crosslinked network membranes via knitting strategy for application in high-temperature proton-exchange membrane fuel cells Balancing phosphoric acid (PA) uptake with the dimensional stability of PA-doped membranes is a major challenge in the field of high-temperature proton-exchange membranes. Crosslinking is a common method to solve this problem.

Organic substitution accumulates more nitrogen in soil while maintaining unchanged nitrogen use efficiency in rice‐fava bean rotation system
Organic substitution management (OSM) is critical for soil conservation and nitrogen efficiency. However, integrated assessment of soil quality and crop productivity under paddy-upland rotation systems after OSM introduction is still lacking. Here, soil nitrogen-related properties and crop nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) were evaluated in 2018, 2019, and 2020, based on a long-term rice-fava bean rotation experiment started in 2015.
Green Premiums Are a Challenge and an Opportunity for Climate Policy Design : Comment

Fatigue of an Aluminum Foam Sandwich Formed by Powder Metallurgy
Abstract : In this paper, an aluminum foam sandwich (AFS) was prepared by the rolling composite-powder metallurgy method, and its fatigue properties were studied. It was compared with an AFS made by the adhesive method to study its fatigue properties more directly. In this experiment, the fatigue performance was investigated by studying the microscopic interface, fatigue life, deflection curve, and failure mode.
