LARP1-mediated stabilization of CD73 mRNA promotes immune escape in triple-negative breast cancer
Abstract Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is characterized by limited therapeutic options and frequent immune escape, while the molecular mechanisms linking tumor-intrinsic programs with antitumor immunity remain incompletely understood. Methods: LARP1 was identified through integrative analysis of TNBC transcriptomic datasets and RNA-binding protein databases, and its broader clinical and prognostic relevance was evaluated in the METABRIC breast cancer cohort.
Diagnostic accuracy of Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen-induced interferon-γ-inducible protein 10 for latent tuberculosis infection among high-risk groups: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) affects nearly a quarter of the world’s population, yet current diagnostic tools are suboptimal. Interferon-γ-inducible protein 10 (IP-10) has been proposed as a candidate biomarker, but its diagnostic value for LTBI among high-risk groups is unclear. To address this, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the accuracy of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) antigen-induced IP-10 for detecting LTBI among high-risk groups.
A spatial and temporal transcriptomic atlas of mouse intestinal regeneration in the jejunum
Abstract The intestinal epithelium exhibits a remarkable capacity for regeneration following injury, yet the spatial and temporal dynamics of the damage-repair cycle remain incompletely understood. We present a spatial transcriptomics atlas of ionizing radiation-induced injury and repair in the mouse jejunum, capturing mRNA from 16,921 genes across approximately 26 million bins at 2-µm resolution in 23 biological samples spanning six days post-irradiation.
The influence of conjunction distributional patterns on text processing by Chinese native speakers in expository causal complex sentences
Previous research on connective processing has focused mainly on English and other Indo-European languages, typically examining connectives in a fixed clause-internal position, on which the Connective Integration Model was based. Chinese, however, allows connectives in different clause positions, raising questions about the model’s applicability and the role of conjunction distributional patterns in complex sentence processing.
Antifreezing and Temperature-Responsive Ionic Hydrogels with Applications in Encryption and Sensor Technologies
Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Hydrogels are (bio)materials that can be naturally adaptable, conductive, and biocompatible; nonetheless, their high water content causes swelling, freezing, and dehydration, restricting their application in low-temperature environments. These challenges have spurred efforts to create antifreezing hydrogels (ATHGs), particularly for applications such as flexible sensors.
Disentangling the Switching Behavior in Functional Connectivity Dynamics in Autism Spectrum Disorder: Insights from Developmental Cohort Analysis and Molecular‐Cellular Associations
1 Introduction The traditional view assumes that the functional couplings between brain areas are constant;[1] however, mounting evidence has demonstrated that the brain is a complex, multiscale dynamic system exhibiting various spatiotemporal patterns.[2-5] Quantifying the instantaneous changes of functional connectivity dynamics could contribute to a deeper understanding the functioning of brain.[6-9] The time series of overlapping networks can induce variations in functional connectivity...

The roles of pleiotrophin in brain injuries: a narrative review of the literature
Abstract Background Pleiotrophin (PTN), a secreted multifunctional growth factor, is highly expressed in the developing brain. Recently, many studies have indicated that PTN participates in the development of brain and plays a neuroprotection after brain injury, especially promoting neuronal survival and neurite outgrowth, stimulating oligodendrocyte maturation and myelination, modulating neuroinflammation, and so on.
Monoclonal Antibody for the Prevention of Respiratory Syncytial Virus in Infants and Children: A Systematic Review and Network Meta-analysis
IMPORTANCE: Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the leading cause of acute lower respiratory infection in children younger than 5 years; effective prevention strategies are urgently needed. OBJECTIVE: To compare the efficacy and safety of monoclonal antibodies for the prevention of RSV infection in infants and children. DATA SOURCES: In this systematic review and network meta-analysis, PubMed, Embase, CENTRAL, and ClinicalTrials.gov were searched from database inception to March 2022.

The presence of predators constrains larval development process by influencing critical developmental windows in the endangered Chinhai spiny newt
1 INTRODUCTION Metamorphic decision induced by predators is an essential topic in understanding the complex life history of amphibians. Predators significantly impact the development process in larval amphibians, resulting in the following two metamorphic outcomes. Firstly, many studies have shown that the majority of larvae may be induced at the same or later time to metamorphosis in response to the presence of predators (Benard, 2004; Relyea, 2007).
Solid‐State Glass Nanopipettes: Functionalization and Applications
Solid-state glass nanopipettes provide a promising confined space that offers several advantages such as controllable size, simple preparation, low cost, good mechanical stability, and good thermal stability. These advantages make them an ideal choice for various applications such as biosensors, DNA sequencing, and drug delivery. In this review, we first delve into the functionalized nanopipettes for sensing various analytes and the methods used to develop detection means with them.
Seizures and electrophysiological features in familial cortical myoclonic tremor with epilepsy 1
Introduction Familial cortical myoclonic tremor with epilepsy (FCMTE) is an under-recognized disorder, which is characterized by autosomal dominant inheritance, cortical tremors, epileptic seizures, and additional symptoms, depending on the FCMTE subtype.1 This disorder has not been included in the most recent ILAE syndrome classification due to insufficient recognition.2 Since its first report in Japan in the 1970s, different definitions have been used for FCMTE, including benign adult...

A Novel Prognostic Prediction Model Based on Pyroptosis-Related Clusters for Breast Cancer
Abstract : Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer affecting women and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Compelling evidence indicates that pyroptosis is inextricably involved in the development of cancer and may activate tumor-specific immunity and/or enhance the effectiveness of existing therapies. We constructed a novel prognostic prediction model for BC, based on pyroptosis-related clusters, according to RNA-seq and clinical data downloaded from TCGA.

Tuberculosis-specific antigen stimulated and unstimulated interferon-γ for tuberculous meningitis diagnosis: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Loading metrics Open Access Peer-reviewed Research Article Abstract Objective Tuberculous meningitis (TBM) is one of the most devastating TB. Accurate identification of TBM is helpful to eliminate TB. Therefore, we assessed the performance of TBAg stimulated IFN-γ (IGRA) and unstimulated IFN-γ in blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for diagnosing TBM. Methods We searched Web of Science, PubMed, Embase and the Cochrane Library databases until March 2022.
Ladder Phenylenes Synthesized on Au(111) Surface via Selective [2+2] Cycloaddition
Ladder phenylenes (LPs) composed of alternating fused benzene and cyclobutadiene rings have been synthesized in solution with a maximum length no longer than five units. Longer polymeric LPs have not been obtained so far because of their poor stability and insolubility.
FORMAL CARE USE IN OLDER AGE: THE ROLE OF MARITAL TRANSITIONS
When individuals need care, spouses are only second to adult children in care provided (AARP, 2015). Thus, marital transitions in later life may prompt changes in formal care use. But work that examines marital status and formal care uses cross sectional data without examining marital transitions as they unfold.
